Actress and host Neha Dhupia made headlines last month due to her controversial statements in TV reality show Roadies. She faced severe backlash and people called her ‘fake feminist’. However, various Bollywood celebrities came out in her support. Neha co-judges Roadies Revolution with Prince Narula, Nikhil Chinapa and rapper Raftaar. After almost a month of the controversy, Raftaar has come forward to share his views on the entire controversy. In a recent interview, Raftaar confessed “What happened to the contestant was very wrong. I was also feeling very bad. I only told him, ‘Karan, people aren’t angry with you because you hit her. They are angry because you think you had the right to hit her.” Opening up how the whole debate sparked, he further said, “The way he was speaking and the way he was responding….he did not seem sorry for it. He seemed glad about the fact that he hit her. Why he hit her is something else. We do not want to get into anybody’s personal life. It depends on how much freedom they grant each other. If you hold the right to hit someone, probably that someone also has the right to hit you back. It did not look like he had a realization of his own-wrong doing. But it might also have been the case that he believed what he did was right.” He was further asked that what he thinks about massive trolling of Neha Dhupia and her family. He answered that it is just easier for people to target someone who is famous.
