Huge swarms of locusts are sweeping through the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

This clip, filmed today (May 24th) in Chhatarpur, shows the insects swarming around a residential complex.

Locusts, which are part of the grasshopper family, are highly mobile and can migrate across different countries and cause extreme damage to crops
