Afghans are gearing up for Eid al-Fitr at a street bazaar in Kabul, despite an official lockdown in the city. Afghanistan had more than 7,000 COVID-19 cases and 170 deaths as of Wednesday morning, with Kabul the epicentre of the outbreak. Experts worry those numbers will rise sharply as more tests become available.
