Cyclone Amfan, which has hit the Bay of Bengal, has now turned into a super cyclone. Which is now moving towards West Bengal and Odisha with high speed. The Meteorological Department estimates that the super cyclone may cause havoc by reaching the boom. Its seriousness can be gauged from the fact that Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-level meeting with the Ministry of Home Affairs and NDMA on Monday evening. During this, preparations were taken to deal with the super cyclone. Seeing the seriousness of the situation in West Bengal and Odisha, the Home Secretary spoke to the Chief Secretaries of both the states.

बंगाल की खाड़ी में उठा चक्रवात तूफान अम्फान अब सुपर साइक्लोन में बदल चुका है. जो अब तेज रफ्तार के साथ पश्चिम बंगाल और ओडिशा की तरफ बढ़ रहा है. मौसम विभाग का अनुमान है कि उफान पर पहुंचकर सुपर साइक्लोन तबाही मचा सकता है. इसकी गंभीरता का अंदाजा इस बात से लगाया जा सकता है कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने सोमवार शाम को गृह मंत्रालय और एनडीएमए के साथ उच्चस्तरीय बैठक की. इस दौरान सुपर साइक्लोन से निपटने की तैयारियों का जायजा लिया गया. पश्चिम बंगाल और ओडिशा में हालात की गंभीरता को देखते हुए गृह सचिव ने दोनों राज्यों के मुख्य सचिवों से बात की.
