S. Korea, U.S., Japan defense talks held virtually on Wednesday

Senior defense officials from South Korea, the U.S. and Japan held a virtual conference Wednesday for discussions on collaborating for a response to COVID-19 as well as the nuclear and missile threats posed by North Korea.
The 12th Defense Trilateral Talks, initially scheduled to take place in Japan, were held online due to the pandemic.
Seoul's Deputy Defense Minister Chung Suk-hwan and his U.S. and Japanese counterparts reaffirmed the importance of trilateral cooperation in upholding security... during the annual security talks.
They agreed to hold another virtual meeting at a later, but as yet, unspecified date.
