Instant Layered Chicken Biryani Recipe | Food Celebrations

Ingredients:
For the marination
Chicken 1 kg
Yogurt 1/2 cup
Paprika/ Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Chicken stock powder 1 tsp (Optional)
Cumin 1 tsp
Red chilli flakes 1/2 tsp
Carom seeds / Ajwain 1/3 tsp
All spice / Garam masala 1 tsp
Biryani masala 1 tsp
Kasoori methi 1 tsp

For the gravy
Oil 2 tbsp
2 Chopped onions
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
3 chopped tomatoes
Rice 2 ½ cups
Cinnamon, cloves, black pepper, star anise

For garnishing
Boiled eggs
Coriander
Sliced onions
Sliced tomatoes
Potato chips/ Fries

Method:
Marinate the chicken with the spices. Then heat the oil and add the onions. When they turn golden brown, add the ginger garlic paste. Then add the marinated chicken mixture. Cook till the oil comes to the surface, then add the tomatoes. Cook for 25 – 35 minutes. Boil rice with the spices. The rice should be fully boiled. Then layer the rice and chicken. Garnish with sliced onions, tomatoes, boiled eggs, coriander and potato fries (optional).
