77 Percent of Parents Think Teachers Should Get a Raise, Poll Says The poll of 2,000 parents who have
school-aged children comes
from Osmo and OnePoll. Four in five add that teachers have
earned a newfound respect from them. Osmo's Jan Richards,

new normal due to the coronavirus pandemic. Seven out of 10 even say that teaching
their kids is harder than their own jobs. With schools closed, South West News Service
adds that most parents are worried their
kids will miss educational goals. Over 80 percent of those polled say they would
currently pay more money to keep their kids on track. Poll results add that math, science and reading are
the top three subjects parents are prioritizing. Workbooks, educational programming and
teacher video calls are the most common learning tools.
