Thank you for sacking me on my birthday, Santhara tells Anwar

Deputy Federal Territories Minister Edmund Santhara has expressed his gratitude to his former boss Anwar Ibrahim for sacking him on his birthday.
"I would like to thank the PKR president Anwar Ibrahim, a good gentleman. He has given me a termination letter, sacking me (from PKR) on my birthday on April 3.
"That was a birthday gift. I would like to thank him for that," Santhara said in an interview with Malaysiakini and KiniTV on Thursday.
However, party communications director Fahmi Fadzil said PKR did not sack Santhara on his birthday.
He instead left the party earlier on Feb 24, added Fahmi.
"I would like to thank the PKR president Anwar Ibrahim, a good gentleman. He has given me a termination letter, sacking me (from PKR) on my birthday on April 3.
