Star Trek Starfleet Academy Mission 1: Target Practice

Yep, this was a DOS game.
The PC version was planned for release a year before in 1996, as reflected by the graphics and FMV quality (also a smaller budget compared to Wing Commander III). The idea being to release a year after the 32X version. However, that wasn't the case.
As for gameplay, it's a pretty good flight sim, and managing a starship becomes as easy an affair as the console versions (your definition of easy may vary, please consult a licensed starfleet physician for more info).
Easy tutorial mission here, though my belief when first playing this game was the overall campaign difficulty being decided by what ship you selected. Later found out this wasn't the case, so oh well. Still, its funny to kick the enemy's ass with the starfleet equivalent of a frisbee attactched to a pontoon.
