Tacoma Bridge Collapse Also know as 'Galloping Gertie'

Tacoma Bridge collapsed only four months after opening for public. This was the third largest bridge at that time and always attracted engineers, mathematicians, and physicists. The bridge was vulnerable to even moderate winds.



It collapsed in 1940 due to heavy winds.
