This is the shocking moment a snake was caught hiding in the roof of a pigsty.

The farm owner was terrified after seeing the huge python dangling from the rafters of the enclosure in Chonburi, eastern Thailand.

Sawong Pimpa, 41, said he was cleaning the pig sty when she noticed all the piglets were suddenly frightened on Monday (April 20).

The animals were sqealing with fright while cowering against the walls rather than walking around the centre as usual.

Sawong said she then looked at under the roof and found the giant snake was hanging from the metal girders staring at her and the rest of the three hundred piglets.

The farmer was stunned before she figured out what to do next. She the called the rescuers to catch the python.

Reptile specialists rushed to the farm with snake catching gear. They spent more than thirty minutes taking the wild serpent down and stuffed it into a sack.

The python was estimated to be 11 feet and 33Ibs, said Khla Khandee, the reptile rescuer.

Sawong said she was frightened when she saw the hanging python.

She said: "I almost fainted when I saw the snake, but I knew Ihadto save all of my pigs, so, I called the reptile catchers to help me.

"I assume the snake was looking for food because there are so many piglets inside and also pigeons on top of the roof."

The emergency team later took the fierce python back into the wild far away from any homes.
