Tropical storms hit northern Thailand damaging dozens of homes on Sunday evening,

Powerful hail, wind and rain battered buildings in Phayao province. Aerial footage from April 20 shows how tin roofs were destroyed by the torrential weather.

Local officials are now assessing the damage, with at least 30 homes having been affected.

Large parts of Thailand have been hit by tropical storms over the last week as the country enters the hottest period of the year with temperatures in excess of 35 degrees Celsius.
