Kind neighbour feeds stray cats going hungry during COVID-19 lockdown in Manila

This is the heartwarming moment stray cats were fed after being seen roaming around a deserted street in the Philippines during the coronavirus lockdown.

In the video, local resident and animal lover Robi Carillo brought cat food outside when he went out to get food supplies for himself and his family on April 5. He found the cats gathered at an unfinished building in Mandaluyong City in Metro Manila and called out to them to have some lunch.

He said: "I will never be tired of doing this because I feel that the cats are waiting for me everyday even though it is dangerous to go outside. Someone needs to take care of them so that they don't go hungry.''

The Philippines has implemented strict lockdown measures to delay the spread of COVID-19.
