The United States has now reported more than 308 thousand cases of COVID-19, more than a third of them in New York state alone.
The U.S. death toll is now more than 8-thousand-400 again, a plurality of them in New York.
Those numbers are from Johns Hopkins University.
The U.S. passed 300-thousand cases on Saturday just four days after it hit 200-thousand.
Now the U.S. has one fourth of all the cases in the world.
Meanwhile, in Spain, the country with the second-highest number of cases, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said Saturday that he would ask parliament to extend the state of emergency by 15 days until April 26.
This comes as Spain's lockdown started to show some results.
