Some Americans are saving a ton of money because the coronavirus pandemic is forcing them to stay home and observe social distancing.
But according to Business Insider, they're not socking that 'extra' money into the market or under the mattress.
Rather, they're supporting their friends by buying from them, or hiring them to do things they need.
For example, they're buying the artwork of friends who are artists.
Or, they're hiring them to build them a website, or revamp a resume.
That keeps money in the local economy, and helps build strength in the community.
