Day one: Mandatory quarantine life in Hong Kong

On March 19, 2020, the Hong Kong government started requiring anyone entering the city to go into a strict two-week quarantine in a bid to control the spread of Covid-19. Elaine Ly from the South China Morning Post was among those who ended up in a mandatory self-quarantine after her recent return from the UK. Elaine will be regularly posting updates about her journey and how she is getting by while tagged with an electronic wristband and forbidden to leave her flat for 14 days.
