Pettamala, is an abandoned quarry Which is near to Perumbavoor town of Ernakulam District, Kerala.Like any other abandoned quarry lakes, these quarry lakes in Pettamala are dangerous.
So never try to swim in these lakes.It's dangerous... Already three youths had lost their lives.Quarry lakes are deep, with sharp edged rocksUsually, the water is too cold even in summer, because it is ground water that sweeps through the rocks.
WARNING!!!
Don't swim in quarries! Drowning is the leading cause of death in abandoned mines and quarries.
The water can be dangerously cold, there are no lifeguards, no rescue equipment, and it is simply not safe.
Every traveller has their own unique story he or she loves to share.
