Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin expressed his gratitude to God and thank all his supporters over the Istana Negara's decision to appoint him as the eighth prime minister.
Muhyiddin said that at his house in Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur on Saturday afternoon, adding that he hopes all Malaysians will accept the decision by the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong.
Meanwhile, Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin, Umno secretary-seneral Tan Sri Annuar Musa and PAS secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan also spoke to the media.
Takiyuddin claimed that the new coalition has the support of 114 out of 222 parliamentarians, hence it is no longer a minority government, while Annuar said he was happy that the question of who would become prime minister had been resolved.
