JNU sedition case: AAP govt okays prosecution of Kanhaiya

Delhi government has given its sanction for chargesheet against Kanhaiya Kumar in jnu sedition case. The permission is in connection with a 2016 sedition case. On January 14, the police had filed a charge sheet against Kumar and others, including former Jawaharlal Nehru University students Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya. Kanhaiya was accused of raising alleged anti-national slogans at the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus on February 9, 2016 during a protest action against the death sentence handed out to Afzal Guru, a convict in the 2002 Parliament attack case.
