Impeachment process over: acquitted onald Trump on both articles Article 1 & 2

The question is on Article One
Guilty 48 Not Guilty 52

The US Senate, as expected, acquitted President Trump in the impeachment process of abuse of power and opposition from Congress. This definitely establishes that Trump will not be deposed.

All Democratic senators opposed the ousting of the president, all Republicans except Mitt Romney.

Two hours before the vote, senator and former presidential candidate Mitt Romney announced that he too considered Trump guilty of abuse of power. He does not consider him guilty of opposing Congress.

It was almost certain that Trump would be acquitted. A two-thirds majority was needed for a conviction. Of the 100 seats, 53 are in the hands of the Republican Party.
