Parigné the Bishop: a green commune and 80 km of marked trails
Promenade en Vélo Parigné l'Evêque
With 6,357 hectares, Parigné l'Evêque is the second commune of the department by the surface. The wooded areas represent half of this area, which is shown in the map opposite. More than 80 kilometers of marked trails crisscross the territory, connected to the courses of the neighboring communes, and which place Parigné in the heart of an almost inexhaustible hiking area, well known walkers, riders and mountain bikers (the village of Parigné, it is possible to win the beautiful forest of Bercé by borrowing practically trails in the undergrowth).
To the north-east, the Loudon ponds are one of the most interesting sites of the town with its five hundred " ardea cinerea " (the scientific name of the gray heron and its beautiful geese geese (stars of the film The Migratory People ), who took up residence there a few years ago.
To the southwest, the "Basse Goulandière" site classified as a regional natural reserve (RNR), which can be visited during nature events, contains a peat bog undergoing restoration with particularly interesting flora and fauna.
Two new "soft lanes" make it possible to go to the recreational area of the Parigné lake from the village via the Bois de la Taille.
