Foam Packaging That Dissolves in Your Sink Is the Next Big Thing

Wouldn't it be great if we could just wash annoying foam packaging away? According to KTM Industries, we can. Their biodegradable foam literally dissolves down the drain. Green Cell Foam is a corn-based foam packaging replacement that KTM says you can compost, dissolve in water, or simply wash down the sink. Even though the foam has been around since 2002, it has only recently gained any real visibility. Perdue Farms, Jenny Craig, Crowd Cow, and Canada's NIKU Farms have all added the packaging to their products within the past year. Simply put, more companies are looking for sustainable options and want to show off those credentials once they have them.
