India announces national mourning for Sultan Qaboos of Oman

The government has declared one-day state mourning on Monday in view of the demise of the Sultan of Oman, the home ministry announced on Sunday. He was one of Delhi's closest partners in West Asia for decades sharing special bonds with this country. National Flag will fly at half-mast and there will be no official entertainment on Monday.
