Horrifying footage has emerged showing a rare Asian lioness grabbing a buffalo by the neck before dragging it behind the bushes.
The incident took place on January 2 in Junagadh located in the west Indian state of Gujarat.
The predator is seen stubbornly clinging onto her prey, even when the cattle tries to fight back.
The tussle did not last for long as the lioness overpowered and successfully dragged it towards a hedge and out of view.
