Snowfall in mountains increased due to cold, entire north India in the grip of winter. Entire north India including Kashmir is in the grip of tremendous cold. On Friday, 40-day-long Chillai Kalan started in the harsh winter with heavy snowfall in Kashmir. In the last 24 hours snowfall has occurred in many areas including Kufri, Gondla, Keylong and Kothi of Himachal Pradesh, due to which the state is in the grip of severe cold.

कश्मीर समेत समूचा उत्तर भारत जबरदस्त सर्दी की चपेट में है। शुक्रवार को कश्मीर में हुए भारी हिमपात के साथ कड़ाके की सर्दी में वहां चलने वाला 40 दिवसीय चिल्लई कलां शुरू हो गया। बीते 24 घंटों में हिमचाल के कुफरी, गोंदला, केलांग और कोठी समेत कई इलाकों में बर्फबारी हुई है, जिससे प्रदेश कड़ाके की ठंड की चपेट में है।
