n a recent Congressional hearing, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez #AOC ripped into #BigPharma about how "people's lives are not commodities." The clip of her statements has now been widely shared and held up as a courageous attack against the evils of Big Pharma and the reality that lifesaving healthcare is not the same as any other good or service. However, all the yelling and passion in the world won't change he fact that healthcare services are derived from scarce resources and therefore are governed by the laws of supply and demand.
