Citizenship Amendment Bill: Exemption given to 4 states, New law will not apply here. The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2019. It will now be introduced in Parliament. The opposition is opposing it. The new Citizenship Amendment Bill has given exemption to four states including Arunachal and Manipur. This bill will not apply to Schedule 6 of the Constitution.

केंद्रीय कैबिनेट ने बुधवार को सिटीजनशिप अमेंडमेंट बिल 2019 को मंजूरी दे दी। अब इसे संसद में पेश किया जाएगा। विपक्ष इसका विरोध कर रहा है। नए सिटीजनशिप अमेंडमेंट बिल में अरुणाचल और मणिपुर समेत चार राज्यों को छूट दी है। ये बिल संविधान की अनुसूची 6 पर लागू नहीं होगा।
