Candle mysteriously relights from residual smoke after being blown out

This was the mysterious moment a candle relit itself from residual smoke after being blown out.

Filmed on November 25 after being purposely extinguished, this candle was able to relight itself after a lighter made contact with excess smoke that was given off.

The lighter's flame appears to travel through the smoke and straight to the wick lighting the candle once again in a magical fashion.

The filmer explains: "I learned this trick as a kid from an old friend.

"Candle smoke contains trace amounts of wax that can be burnt, and by adding a flame to the smoke, it acts as a fuse.

"[It then]burns down to its source, the extinguished candlewick, to reignite it."
