This is the emotional moment a Trinidadian man has the ultimate birthday surprise as his partner, friends and co-workers gather at Piarco International Airport to send him on his first-ever holiday.

The video, which shows the man visibility shocked as he is handed a suitcase and passport, is gaining traction on social media.

The video has over 1.1million views on Twitter and was even 'liked' by celebrity model Chrissy Teigen.

The man told Newsflare: "The day before my birthday I was taken to the airport under the guise that we were dropping off my partner off for a flight, not knowing that we were actually dropping me off.

"My partner, friends and co-workers were all there to surprise me at Piarco International Airport in Trinidad with my luggage and passport to send me to Grenada to visit my best friend who I hadn’t seen in a year."

The video's caption said: "I’ve never been anywhere else in the world and always wanted to travel but never had the funds, time, or the zeal due to trauma."

The heartwarming footage was captured on Thursday (November 14).
