Two men rescue baby seal found trapped in fishing net on California beach

Two men film themselves recusing a baby seal stuck in a fishing net on Cabrillo Beach, Los Angeles on May 23.
The filmer told Newsflare: "One morning my friend and me went to the beach to go surfing when I noticed something big moving around.
"I took a closer look and saw it was a baby seal with a fishing net around its neck. Once I realised what was wrong I immediately jumped into action and tried to help the seal.
"I got my shirt over his head to pin him down so he couldn’t bite me. Then I used my teeth to rip the net and slide it off his head.
"Once I finally got the net off the seal sat there until my friend and me paddled out and he swam right out with us."
In the video, the man can be heard saying: "Seal rescues are what it’s all about here.
"[The seal] has got a pretty nasty wound. Can’t do much about that but he’s gonna make it a lot further than he would with that net on."
