Chick-fil-A to Stop Donating
to Anti-LGBTQ Organizations.
On Nov. 18, Chick-fil-A announced
their decision to cease donations
to two anti-lgbtq organizations.
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and the Salvation
Army, who Chick-fil-a donated $1.65 million and $115,000
to respectively in 2018, are no longer on their charity list. .
Instead, Chick-fil-A says they will work
exclusively with organizations that are focused
on education, homelessness and hunger. .
In place of the anti-LGBTQ organizations are now
Covenant House International and Junior Achievement USA.
Chick-fil-a will also reportedly
donate $25,000 to local food banks. .
The Salvation Army has since responded to the
news, saying they were “saddened” by the decision,
strongly refuting the claims that they are anti-LGBTQ.
"We're saddened to learn that a corporate partner has felt it necessary to
divert funding ... [to] areas in which the Salvation Army, as the largest
social services provider in the world, is already fully committed."

The FCA, who’s website clearly states that
marriage is exclusively between a man and a
woman, has yet to comment on the situation.
