Dwayne Johnson's 'Black Adam'
Gets 2021 Premiere Date .
The film, based on the DC Comics character, will hit theaters on December 22, 2021.
'Jungle Cruise' director Jaume Collet-Serra is set to helm the New Line flick.
The movie will be a spin-off of 'Shazam!,' which dropped earlier this year.
'Black Adam,' who made
his comic debut in 1945,
originally premiered as a super villain.
Johnson, who worked with Collet-Serra
on 'Jungle Cruise,' says differently.
"He’s a rebellious, one of a kind
superhero, who’ll always do
what’s right for the people."
