Commuters in northern India's Uttar Pradesh stopped their vehicles in order to pick fish that were strewn across the road after a truck carrying the consignment toppled over.

The incident took place on November 11 in the Kalpi region of the state's Kanpur district.

Footage shows the live fish spread across the busy road while onlookers frantically try to loot the aquatic goods.

The accident sparked the commuters, including a police officer, to stop and pick the fish subsequently causing massive traffic congestion.
