BJP got donations of over Rs 800 crore before Lok Sabha elections

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) raised Rs 800 crore in FY19 ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in May this year, the Narendra Modi-led party, in its submissions to the Election Commission of India, has revealed. The biggest single contribution to BJP came from the Tata group backed Progressive Electoral Trust, which donated Rs 356 crore.
