Twin aro operation
Separation of Siamese Twin Arowana
Dr Tey Ban Hup, a medical doctor and close associate of Xian Leng Holdings has successfully separated two pairs of Siamese Twin Arowana joined at the abdomen with assistance from staff of the company. Proper medical procedure and surgery were applied. First the fish was sedated and then surgery using a medical kit was carried out. The conjoined abdomen was carefully separated by cutting around it without damaging the internal organs. Once separated, the exposed abdomen was stitched back followed by the administering of a mild dose of antibiotic onto the fish. The fish was then quickly placed back into the specially prepared aquarium tank with good aeration to revive the fish. Once revived, the fish was nursed back to full health and the thread of the stitches removed upon the healing of the wounds. This break-through has enabled the saving of Siamese Twin Arowanas which would otherwise perish early.
