A 21-year-old man from southern China's Foshan had a life-changing surgery to remove his extra four toes on his left foot on October 29.

In the video, an X-ray picture shows the man named A Jun's nine-toe foot before the surgery.

The doctors removed the extra four toes and forged a new big toe for A Jun in a nine-hour-long surgery.

A Jun was reportedly born with nine toes. But his parents only brought him to see a fortune teller instead of a doctor and was told that the extra toes were given by Buddha.

After that, his parents did not seek treatment for A Jun until he started to work and became determined to have a treatment in hospital.

A Jun's foot is recovering from the surgery at the moment and he said he wanted to walk outside with his bare feet after he leaves the hospital.
