11 nurses from Zhenjiang First People's Hospital have been suspended after taking turns to lay in a hospital bed used by a famous Singaporean singer.

The bizarre video, shot in the city of Zhenjiang on October 26, shows several nurses queueing up in front of a bed to lay in it and take pictures.

According to local reports, Singaporean singer Lin Junjie, who is also known as JJ went to the local hospital as he had a cold.

Then pictures of the medical devices used on JJ Lin, including the needle with blood and IV bag, were posted on Chinese social media in an attempt to sell them.

After the news went viral, the hospital issued an announcement to clarify that the pictures of the medical devices were taken by one hospital staff who is a fan of JJ, but the other pictures were manipulated by other netizens after she posted them.

The hospital confirmed that they did not have missing medical waste and also apologised. Eleven nurses have been suspended and will face serious punishment.
