S. Korea to hold nationwide earthquake drill

A nationwide earthquake evacuation drill will be held on Wednesday 2 p.m. local time, part of a week-long disaster response training.
Public institutions, including those associated with the central and local administrations, schools, daycare centers, as well as some voluntary private organizations will all take part in the drill.
However, government branches that are currently focused on containing the African swine fever outbreak and those engaged in recovery operations in areas hit by typhoon Mitag will be exempted.
The start of the exercise will be announced by a siren.
During the program, 12 radio stations will provide a 20-minute live broadcast on training instructions are preventive measures.
Traffic, however, will not be restricted.
