A car remote-controlled by 5G drove onto an open road for the first time in eastern China's Wuzhen, the nation's first "5G smart town", on October 20.

The video shows a 5G remote-control car autonomously driving on a busy road.

The 5G remote-control car drove across the straight road, crossings, bridges, both wide and narrow road and so forth for around four kilometres on an open road.

According to reports, the sixth World Internet Conference was held in Wuzhen between October 20 and October 22. The 5G network is said to be so fast that in the town local users are able to download a movie in only one second.
