Massive cherry picker arrives to rescue man hanging upside down from 290ft chimney in England

A cherry picker has arrived at Dixon's Chimney in Carlisle, northwest England, in an attempt to rescue a man stuck at its top.

Footage filmed today (October 28). shows the industrial cherry picker close to the top of the chimney.

Police have confirmed that a ladder has been attached onto the chimney from the cherry pick in an attempt to retrieve the man.

Fears have grown as there has been no sign of movement from the man since this morning, according to Newsflare's filmer.
