A Santa Clarita woman documents her terrifying evacuation on Thursday afternoon (October 24) as wildfires rage near Los Angeles.
The filmer told Newsflare: "None of us had any notifications to evacuate, or any way of getting news because of the lack of power.
"I grabbed my N95 masks, ran to my elderly neighbour to tell him to get out, then ran in my house to grab what I could.
"Abelia is the only road in and out of our neighbourhood and traffic was backing up horribly. Driving away from home with nothing but black smoke behind me and the knowledge that I may never see my house again."
The fire which started on Wednesday night has already burned through more than 16,000 acres.
The Tick Fire raged through Santa Clarita and quickly grew to 4,300 acres, local media reported officials saying.
