The company has recalled about 33 thousand baby powders from the market. The company gave this information on Friday. According to the New York Times news, after denying the presence of a carcinogen in the powder for months, the company said the regulator detected chrysotile asbestos in baby powder samples purchased from an online retailer.

अमेरिकी फूड ऐंड ड्रग एडमिनिस्ट्रेशन को कैंसरकारक एस्बेस्टस के सबूत मिलने के बाद जॉनसन ऐंड जॉनसन ने बेबी पाउडर की एक खेप को वापस बुला लिया है। आमेरिका की स्वास्थ्य नियामकों की जांच में प्रोडक्ट में एस्बेस्टस की मात्रा का पता चलने के बाद कंपनी ने लगभग 33 हजार बेबी पाउडरों को बाजार से वापस मंगा लिया है। कंपनी ने शुक्रवार को यह जानकारी दी। न्यूयॉर्क टाइम्स की खबर के मुताबिक, पाउडर में कैंसरकारक तत्व की मौजूदगी को महीनों तक नकारने के बाद कंपनी ने कहा है कि रेग्युलेटर को ऑनलाइन रिटेलर से खरीदे गए बेबी पाउडर सैंपल में क्राइसोटाइल एस्बेस्टस का पता चला है। इस खबर के बाद कंपनी के शेयर शुक्रवार को 4.6 पर्सेंट गिर गए।
