Hundreds of tractors line the streets of The Hague for Farmer's protest

Hundreds of tractors have taken over The Hague after farmers from across the country descended on the city to protest measures to combat emissions.

Footage from yesterday (October 16) shows hundreds of tractors parked on both sides of Vaillantplein.

The filmer explained: "Farmers protest on The Hague driving away from the 'Malieveld' which was full with tractors in the direction of the A44 motorway where tractors were parked along both sides of the road because there was no more space left on the field itself."

Farmers argue that sanctions on emissions could be detrimental for their businesses.
