audience with colored paper. According to Taylor, the confetti began as an accident, but was a hit with audiences. The comedian originally found early success with spots on 'The Ed Sullivan Show' and Jackie Gleason's variety show. He then opened for many legendary musical and comedy acts, including Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Judy Garland. In Las Vegas, Taylor was also named
Entertainer of the Year multiple times during the 1970s. Besides his comedy act, Taylor made
thousands of appearances on
TV and game shows. At one point, he even hosted his own
program, ' The $1.98 Beauty Show.' On the big screen, he appeared in all three 'Jackass' movies, 'Wayne's World 2' and 'Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.' According to his publicist, at the time of his death, Taylor was survived long-term partner Robert Fortney.
