Robert "Scoop" Jackson is an award-winning author, columnist, features and script writer, editor, analyst, host, producer and publisher over the course of his 25-year career, he has been recognized internationally as one of the most important voices in sports and African-American culture.

In this episode of #theRevolutionaries, Scoop talks about what it takes to be great, the pitfalls of social media and activism in sports. Shot in the summer of 2015, Scoop's interview is as relevant now as it is when taped.

Currently, he holds the position as senior writer for ESPN: SportsCenter and contributor to many of their television programs, radio shows, digital platforms, magazine and films. He spent 12 years as a national columnist for ESPN.com.

He is also chief content and copywriter for Nike (Basketball) and one of the co-hosts and co-creators of the revolutionary podcast The Music Snobs.
