Thomas Cook, the world's oldest travel firm, declared bankruptcy on Monday,... leaving thousands of tourists around the globe stranded, and sparking the largest peacetime repatriation effort in British history.
The tour company had enormous debts and said it failed to secure an emergency loan package from its creditors.
The UK's Civil Aviation Authority said it would launch a repatriation effort with the government... to bring back home more than 150-thousand British travelers over the next few weeks.
