Emotional farewell for South African rugby legend Chester Williams

South Africans from all backgrounds came together for an emotional farewell to rugby legend Chester Williams on Saturday.

Williams was part of the winning 1995 Springbok team, which won the World Cup against New Zealand's All Blacks.

The Springbok win against the All Blacks in 1995 was an historic moment for South Africa, as it had just the previous year elected its first democratic government.

Images of the then Springbok Captain, Francois Pienaar, holding up the Webb-Ellis Cup with former President Nelson Mandela, became an iconic image of unity between black and white unity in South Africa.

Chester Williams was the only black player in the 1995 South African Rugby Team sent to participate in the Rugby World Cup.
