వినాయక నవ రాత్రుల చివరి ఘట్టం దగ్గరకు వచ్చింది. తొమ్మిది రోజుల పాటు ఘనంగా భక్తుల పూజలందుకున్న విఘ్నేశుడు గంగమ్మ తల్లి ఒడి చేరేందుకు సిద్ధమవుతున్నాడు. హైదరాబాద్ మహా నగరంలో వినాయక చవితి మొదలు మూడో రోజు నుంచే నిమజ్జనం కార్యక్రమం మొదలవుతుంది. అలా ఐదో రోజు, ఏడో రోజు, తొమ్మిదో రోజు నిమజ్జనం చేయడం ఆనవాయితీగా వస్తోంది. అయితే ఖైరతాబాద్ మహాగణపతితో పాటు బాలాపూర్ లాంటి ప్రసిద్ధ గణేశ్ విగ్రహాలు మాత్రం చివరి రోజు నిమజ్జనం చేస్తారు. ఈసారి కూడా ఖైరతాబాద్ పెద్ద గణేశుడిని తొలి నిమజ్జనం చేయనున్నారు.
