State of war in Chile. (The massacre of Plaza Bulnes) The capital of Chile under the state of war imposed after one riots in which the police and the National Workers Federation collided. The Armed Forces replaced the capital's police when the state of siege was declared. The clash was caused when a workers demonstration was declared illegal by the Chilean government. By preparing this edition a compromise had already been made between the government and the workers swearing a general strike.
