Community-minded pet dog paddles through canal to pick up rubbish in Thailand

This adorable dog paddles through a canal to collect pieces of plastic pollution.
The community-minded golden retriever named Rod-Tung collects the trash from the waterway behind his house in Bang Yai district of Nonthaburi, Thailand.
Footage from last Sunday (September 1) morning shows two-year-old Rod-Tung swimming back to the shore with a discarded plastic bottle in his mouth.
The dog's owner Prangwilai Prayonglek, 34, said that neighbours had nicknamed the pooch the ''eco-friendly dog''.
Prangwilaisaid: "He is a versatile dog because he can clean the trash from the canal. He also picks out the dead weeds and water hyacinth. He's so smart and he can do other cool things like peeling a coconut.''
